EV4US & Argumenta

Welcome to EV4US in Oulu!

We are happy to welcome all EV-interested scientists to Oulu!

Finnish Society of Extracellular Vesicles (FISEV) together with ‘Argumenta – Healthy environment – healthy people’ invites you to join us in Oulu from February 5th – 6th, 2024.

Note! EV4US consists of two separate sections on Monday Feb 5t: the free EV4US Argumenta section from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and the FISEV Annual Seminar 2024 event starting at 4:00 p.m. , and continuing on Tuesday, Feb 6th, 2024, for which there is a participation fee.

The field targeting cell secretome in the form of the universal cell secreted vesicles (extracellular vesicles, EVs) is now widely studied across the scientific disciplines. We are still however in great need for better tools to characterize even single EVs in biological samples, to extract them from others and target their single molecular component roles in vitro and in vivo. The nanobiology field does offer much work for the years to come. The field is expected to make a great impact to biology, psychology and medicine. One example of this is the recent NOBEL prize on the mRNA vaccination technology. The motivation in the Oulu FISEV meeting is to bring together scientists that are interested in this rapidly emerging and fascinating field of science to learn more how to translate the pico-, nano- and micro-EV worlds to knowledge and wisdom.

I hope that the meeting will attract a good audience to educate us all via science to the greatness of these “small notes & letter of life” that provide a nice composition towards new knowledge and applications.
